Hi Ma,

How is the cold weather up North? It is almost too hot here now, so we will probably melt in May and June. We were going to move out before that be the way to looks now, we are going tin three or four months. I may not be in the 101st Infantry by the time  you get this letter but you can still use the same address for a while. Fred is going to stay with the 101st Infantry so now I guess we are all broke up.

Have you heard from Al? He has not written to Fred or me for three or four weeks. He has probably started school now and doesn't have any spare time.

I had a swell trip down from Fort Meade but we have had a very unexciting time since. We have to be out of the city and in camp before 12:00 o'clock or the MP's will pick us up. And even if you could stay, there is nothing to do. We went for a ride both weekends. You know, one of those old fashion Sunday rides that you ride along slowly and take it in.

The way it looks now, we will not get that round trip boat ride at least I hope it will be a round trip. I was over to Division this morning talking to Dave Davoren and he told us that we should be leaving soon, so we are really mixed up now and where we are going to.
