Dear Mom and Pop,

It's now five minutes after nine and I just got in from supper. You can see for yourselves how much they keep us pups busy. I also have two cross country trips to plot out before I go to sleep tonight. These cross country courses we take here are about the same distance from Milford to N.Y. and back. Most of them are triangles and we have to hit our destination on the nose or we're lost. When you're up there all by yourself and you know the you should be crossing a R.R. track at a certain time or there should be a lake two miles to the right of you and you can't see them, you better start worrying. So far I haven't got lost bug give me time. That brings up the questions, "Will they give me enough time?" I guess I told you I had been having a little trouble. Our whole class has been having a rough time. The usual percentage of washouts in Primary was about 1% until our class came along. They already got 5% of what was left from Primary.

Tony got his 20 hour check today. He didn't pass it. They're going to give him a recheck.

Most of the boys in our barracks are at a special ground school class tonight. They didn't pass their test in Navigation. As for myself, so far so good in ground school. These instructors sure know how to give a guy hell. When your flying becomes bad (off days), he can make you feel as if you're the dumbest son of a so and so that ever lived. (Maybe he's right)

We start night flying next week. We fly day and nights until 2 or 3 o'clock in the morning. They give us a break and let us sleep a while hour linger in the morning. Big hearted of them. We put in six extra hour and they give us one. Nice guys.

Geezil and O'Connor both have colds. Geezil is sto=ill grounded but "Okie" got his release today.

Thank Chris and Pete for the card they sent me. Thank Grandma also.

Bill is certainly doing a fine job at the shop. I guess he go the brains from the boys.

Love and Kisses As Ever

"Wishie Washie"
