Dear Sis,

Things are about the same down here. Fred was here for a couple of hours to pick up his bike. From what he says, he's having a swell time. He's moving to Louisiana next week sometime. It is still raining on this part of the country which makes is swell for field work. The way we are going now, we spend most of our time in tents. That is if we ever get to put one up. I prefer the truck myself.

I just heard of a new angle to get in the Air Corps. All I have to do now is get to Washington. I have a three day pass coming, so I can talk someone into a day or so extra, I may get in yet. One thing that can't say I don't do my best to get there. Right now it is midnight and I am hungry as hell and the nearest place to get anything is thirty miles away so it looks like I'll go to bed hungry.

I haven't heard and more on when and if I am leaving but I am still hoping. I home the next time I write I shall be on my way to the Air Corps.

As Ever

Charlie
