Dear Mom,

Thanks ever so much for the box of goodies. My room mates thank you too. They said it was the best cake they have ever eaten. The nut bread got a little stale but we ate it and it sure tasted good. The chicken has a peculiar taste to it. The cake kept exceptionally well. It came about five days ago but we've been night flying for the past week.

Tonight is supposed to finish up for our flight. I sure hope so because I've got to catch up on my back sleep.

I'm firing aerial gunnery now. We go out over the Gulf to shoot. The other day the tow ship came back with a home in the tail. Somebody evidently wanted a live target.

Tony and Millie are both fine. They send their regards.

As Ever

Al
