Dear Mom, Pop, Shirley, Avis and Marie,

Did you have a happy Easter? Did my flowers arrive on time? Did everybody go to church? I did think about everybody and how we all paraded to church in our best finery.

I'm sitting here munching pm the cookies Louise sent me. They sure are good, I must write and thank her.

Mendenhall, he's the only guy left yay I know and I spent the weekend in Newport with Mary and her family. I've told you before what grand people they were. This is not the Mary that wrote the letter to home. This Mary is the one that I sent you pictures of. If she had a million dollars I'd have marries her yesterday, but then, I'm marry anybody with a million dollars. We all went to church yesterday with her family.

I show off the snapshots of the family that Louise sent me and everybody says the Marie is the best looking but all the girls want to meet Charlie and Fred.

Charlie answered me letter and he told me to drop Fred a line. He said that Fred was somewhere in Alabama, That helps me a lot. I hope Fred makes it and we meet over there someday.

Don't worry about me Mom because you know it's safer up there than on the ground and with a P-47 that can't get high enough to catch me or even see me from the ground. Tell Bill that we disappear at about 23,000 feet (I think). He asked me once.

Love & Kisses As Ever,

Al
