Hi Ma,

We have the plane down here now. We sure had a time doing it. We broke an oil line about half way down here and had to hand in a field that should have been too small to take of from. We got off anyway just by the skin of our wheels. Then we had to come on to a government airport that was supposed to be for Army ships only. You should have been them come from all directions to find out why we came in there and also to make fun of my plane.

Then we talked them into giving us some oil and took off again and made it to Columbia in one piece. There was oil from one end of the plane to the other. I am still wondering how we made it. To make matters worse, it was a large airport and the air inspector have is a long list of work that has to be done before we can take off again, so to looks as if maybe we won't get to fly home after all. This is unless we take off when he isn't looking.

It is hot as Hell down here. It was 120 degrees the past two days. We have a big fan but all to does is blow hot air.

I wrote a letter to Al the other night.

It looks like we are leaving some time around the 7th of August, so here's hoping we leave from a Boston port or I won't make it home again.
