Dear Ruth and Emie,

You two seem to be enjoying married life. Who knows, maybe it works for some people. Oh! did you notice that big First Lt. in the heading? Yep! I finally made the grade. My job rates a captain so they make me a first.

I have hopes of finding Charlie. I'll take my next leave and look him up. He's a long long ways from here. Maybe I'll get to fly over there.
