Hello Sis (Ruth),

Remember when I was home, Al said something about getting blisters from digging? At the time I didn't realize what he meant but I sure do now. I also know just how long it takes to dig a foxhole.

I never did find out where Al was except one time but by the time I got to see him he had moved. At least we will have a grand get together after the war.

Talk about French girls. we hit a city the other day, I would like to tell you theme but that would be telling things we aren't allowed to tell, I didn't thing me eyes ever did go back in my head. I sat in my Jeep for over an hour just watching them go by. I have a little French book so we did get a few words in but as luck would have it, we didn't have time to date them.
